Lev Kalman
Bio
Lev Kalman has been making films with his collaborator Whitney Horn since 2003, when they were undergraduates at Columbia University in New York City. Their distinctive style blends lo-fi 16mm photography, dreamy electronic music, philosophic musings, and steady bursts of absurdist humor. Their films "Blondes in the Jungle," "L for Leisure" and "Two Plains & a Fancy" have played at festivals including Rotterdam, BFI London and BAMCinemaFest. Kalman works at the UCSD Media Teaching Lab, helping manage the equipment checkout, production facilities, and teaching workshops on film and video-making. He is currently developing an experimental TV show called "Dream Team."
